Microdermabrasion offers a unique way of removing the top layer of the skin. By using crystals, it not only de-epithelializes and revitalizes skin but can also aid in reduction of scars. It is painless and does not require any time off work or social activities. It does require a series of four to six treatments. Microdermabrasion can be performed on face, neck, or hands. Each treatment lasts about fifteen to thirty minutes, and patients can return to work after the procedure. It can be performed at the same time as botox or collagen injections.
